West Seminole Council Launches in February

If you're in the West Seminole/East Apopka area, we're rolling out a new area council to help connect you with other business owners and consumers.

If you live or work along Semoran Blvd. from Downtown Apopka to the State Road 434/436 intersection, you understand how connected this region truly can be.

After all, more than 20,000 people and 1,600 businesses are located between those two local landmarks.

That's why we're starting our eighth area council, the West Seminole Council, to bring these businesses together to grow and thrive and work to reach that affluent market.

Wouldn't you like to reach the Sweetwater/Weikva area, the Bear Lake region, Downtown Apopka, and the Piedmont-Wekiva neighborhoods? By joining us, you'll be working with dozens of other businesses looking to capture this market.

On February 2, join the Seminole County Chamber for lunch while you learn about one of our key small business resources in Central Florida. At our first meeting, you will hear from Jessica Rosario-Fortis, director of Florida SBDC at Seminole State College Center of Business Development.

The West Seminole Council will meet on the first Monday of every month, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Bahia Shrine just west of Hunt Club Blvd., 3101 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703.

Thank you to Orlando Health for its support as the title sponsor of the West Seminole Council.

Finally, thank you to the chamber volunteers on the committee who have helped lead this effort to meet the needs of businesses throughout the region.
