This Week’s Highlight
We successfully catered two dinner events in one evening, our first ever double booking!
The first was a heartfelt Retirement Celebration at 6PM, followed by an inspiring Breakthrough Prayer Women’s Retreat Dinner at 8PM. Despite the tight timeline, both events were executed flawlessly.
And yes, Chef Shanna was present at both events to personally greet each client and ensure every detail was just right. It’s part of what makes Jamrock Eatz more than just catering, it’s a commitment to care and excellence with every plate.
This Week’s Cooking Tip:
Don’t Overcrowd Your Pan, it Causes Food to Steam and Not Brown!
If your stir-fry isn’t crisp or your chicken isn’t golden, this might be why. When you pack too much into a hot pan, the temperature drops and food releases moisture. Instead of searing, your ingredients end up steaming, which means less browning and less flavor and we dont want that to happen.
Here’s what to do instead:
- Cook in smaller batches for that golden crust and deeper flavor.
- Use a large enough pan so food has space.
- Don’t move proteins too quickly, let them sit and caramelize.
A simple fix that makes a big difference in taste and texture!
