Three Orlando Health facilities have been selected by Modern Healthcare as the 2024 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The winners are:
- Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital
- Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital
- Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute
This is the fifth consecutive win for Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital, and the third consecutive win for Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital. This is the first win for Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, which operates orthopedic clinics across Central Florida and opened the state’s first orthopedic specialty hospital in 2023.
“We understand at Orlando Health that to provide the best care for our patients, we need to create a culture to attract and retain the best physicians and team members,” said Orlando Health Assistant Vice President Colleen Harper, who oversees workforce strategy, recruitment and retention. “Fostering the ‘Best Place to Work’ has been a top priority systemwide and it’s exciting to see that dedication and hard work recognized at these three sites.”
The award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with Workforce Research Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.
"With all the economic uncertainty, staffing challenges, and folks wanting more flexible work setups, every company has to get clever about how they attract and hold onto talent," noted Dan Peres, President of Modern Healthcare. "The winners of the 2024 Best Places to Work awards really get it. They show us how vital it is to understand what employees want and need right now. With healthcare shifting so much, finding the right people is a top priority, and the winners know that keeping their team happy is the key to business success."
