Tee Up for Good at the “FORE The Village Golf Tournament” To Benefit Homeless Youth April 18, 2024

Longwood, FL – (February 13, 2024) – IMPOWER is calling all golfers to its inaugural “FORE The Village Golf Tournament” on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Top Golf Lake Mary, 1010 Greenwood Blvd, Lake Mary, FL 32746. Proceeds will benefit The Village, an IMPOWER program, which provides 16 beds of transitional housing for former foster youth and homeless young adults, 18-24, along with other community-based supportive housing services to keep vulnerable young people from slipping into homelessness.

Along with an evening of friendly competition, “FORE The Village Golf Tournament” will feature a Top Golf Contender Tournament, food and soft drinks and a variety of raffle prizes. This event is open to golfers of all skill levels.

“Beyond the thrill of competition, the tournament is about helping The Village Program fill a critical, growing community need,” said IMPOWER President/CEO Anna Kesic. “With factors such as soaring rents, young people lacking family support are struggling to gain self-sufficiency without our educational, employment, life skills activities and other supports.” The number of unsheltered people of all ages increased by 38% in the past year according to the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida, said Kesic. “Let's tee off together and make a positive impact on our community!”

Individuals and businesses seeking to register a team, sponsor the tournament event, or donate a raffle item, should visit IMPOWER’s website at www.impowerfl.org where they will find more information.
