Seminole County Chamber to Produce Annual State of Our Schools

The success of our business community can be directly tied to how incredible the schools are in Seminole County.

After all, without our great schools, we wouldn't have the skilled workforce needed to meet the demands of our business. And, companies would not be clamoring to expand and relocate to Seminole County if not for our great schools.

That's why we're pleased to announce the Seminole County Chamber has partnered with Seminole County Public Schools and the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools to produce the next State of Our Schools, scheduled for July 29, 2024 at the Lake Mary Marriott.

"For years, our membership has truly appreciated events like this that update them on an aspect of our government, from the State of the County to the Mayor's Update," says Rebekah Arthur, president & CEO, Seminole County Chamber. "We expect this one to be just as successful and are looking forward to assisting these key organizations in telling their story."

The last State of Our Schools luncheon was produced internally. By partnering with the Seminole County Chamber, the school district hopes to expand its audience for this great event.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Seminole County Chamber to expand the annual State of Our Schools event," says Serita D. Beamon, superintendent, Seminole County Public Schools. "This partnership will allow us to share the incredible accomplishments and upcoming initiatives for our A-rated, academically high-performing district with county leaders, civic organizations, businesses, and community members."

One of the key aspects of this event is that a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Foundation.

“Partnering with the Seminole County Chamber will bring the great news about Seminole County Public Schools to even more of our community and business leaders," says Jean Vansmith, executive director, The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools. "We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to the donations through this event to support the Foundation’s programs to improve student achievement in our public schools.”

The chamber is actively seeking sponsors for this event, particularly with companies who want to show their support for education in Seminole County. Already, we are thankful that Duke Energy has agreed to be the Gold Sponsor of the event. If you are interested, please review the sponsorship packages here and reach out to Rebekah today!
