This week, your Seminole County Chamber was well represented in the statewide, Florida Chamber's Tallahassee Fly-in. Several board members and Chamber President Rebekah Arthur heard from all the key leaders - including Governor Ron DeSantis about the issues that should be tackled this year.
For instance, the goal is to eliminate the tax businesses pay on rent this session. We were also able to share our 2025 Legislative Agenda with lawmakers throughout the state.
As we get closer to the 2025 Legislative Session, we're asking you to share any local funding requests that have been made so we can help support our members.
Last year, we shared our support for a range of requests, of which our members received assistance for veterans, education and more.
If you would like support from the Seminole County Chamber for your request, here's what you need to do:
- You must be a member in good standing to submit your local funding request for consideration.
- You will need to send the appropriation request forms submitted to both House and Senate, along with confirmation the request has been filed by a legislator for consideration to Rebekah Arthur no later than March 3, 2025.
- The list of appropriations will be reviewed internally and presented to our executive committee for approval in March.
We hope by helping our members with their needs, we can all build a more prosperous region that continues to lead the state and nation.
