The Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) is proud to announce the launch of its new logo, a bold and modern design that reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to enhancing sports tourism in the region. In their most recent list of “Best Sports Business Cities,” Sports Business Journal ranked Orlando the No. 1 city in the United States for Attracting and Hosting Events.
“With the announcement of today’s rebrand, we’re excited to embrace a fresh new look and the opportunities it brings,” said Caesar Lopez, Chairman of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission board of directors and Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride, and Inter&Co Stadium.
GO Sports selected Joe Bosack & Co – an elite branding agency that has worked with the NCAA, Nike, Turner Sports, FOX Sports, and a long list of university athletic departments and NFL teams – to lead the branding transformation.
The new GO Sports visual identity is intended to be an evolution of the prior logo and does that through shape language, color and overall design intent. The logo shares the energy and aspirations of the athletes who compete in the Greater Orlando area while serving as a bold symbol of sports in Central Florida. The logo was designed with natural greens and vibrant blues to reflect the terrain on which many sports are played.
“The logo embodies the vast number of sports the commission can and has hosted over the years and is a true representation of the tagline ‘terrain for every game’,” said Joe Bosack. “Home to several professional teams and host to countless high profile championship events, the Greater Orlando area is a treasure chest of creative inspiration; it’s a market unlike any other."
