ORLANDO, FL (April 23, 2024) – Recognizing that home ownership is a challenge for many Central Floridians, FAIRWINDS Credit Union has introduced a new Community Heroes Mortgage Program, designed to assist everyday heroes achieve their home ownership goals more affordably.
According to the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, in the last five years the median home price has increased by $152,000 (68%).
Benefits of the Community Heroes Mortgage Program include:
• Lower monthly payments with discounted Private Mortgage Insurance premiums.
• Down payment as low as 3%.
• For active military and veterans, a down payment can be as low as 0%.
Community heroes eligible for this program include first responders, medical professionals, military personnel, government employees, and educators.
