2026 USA Volleyball Open National Championship to be Hosted in Orlando

USA Volleyball is excited to announce that the 2026 USA Volleyball Open National Championship will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from May 22–27, 2026. Celebrating its status as the longest-running adult volleyball championship in the United States, the event will bring together athletes of all skill levels, ages, and backgrounds for an unforgettable week of competition.

The Open National Championship, known for its vibrant atmosphere and inclusive spirit, will return to Orlando for the third time, having previously been hosted in the city in 2016 and 2022.

“We are thrilled to welcome the 2026 USA Volleyball Open National Championship back to Orlando,” said Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. “This event celebrates the spirit of competition and community, as the sport of volleyball continues to thrive in this region across all levels of play. We look forward to working with USA Volleyball, the Orange County Convention Center, Visit Orlando, and our hotel partners to provide an exceptional experience for the athletes, coaches, fans, and families traveling from across the country to Central Florida for this prestigious tournament.”

First held in 1928, the Open National Championship continues to be the premier volleyball event for adult athletes nationwide. The 2026 edition promises even more excitement, with a wide range of divisions designed to offer something for everyone:

• Men’s & Women’s Open – For the highest level of competition

• Men’s & Women’s AA, A, BB, B – For players at various skill levels

• Age Group Divisions (40s to 70s) – Compete against peers within your age bracket

• Coed 4s & Reverse Coed 4s – A fun twist on traditional volleyball

• Sitting Volleyball & Special Olympics – Showcasing inclusivity and adaptive sports

New for the 2025 Opens:

• $20,000 prize pool and free Molten volleyballs to the first five teams to register in the Open division

• Winners of each division will earn free entry into the 2026 Opens

• The ParaVolley Pan America (PVPA) Sitting Volleyball Zonal Championships will also take place alongside the 2025 Opens (May 24–28)

Competitors can also look forward to the popular players-only party—a favorite tradition where athletes can unwind, dance, and connect with fellow volleyball enthusiasts in a festive environment.

“Orlando has always been a vibrant hub for sports and entertainment, making it the perfect location to host the 2026 USA Volleyball Open National Championship,” said Steve Bishop, Chief Operating Officer of USA Volleyball. “We’re excited to welcome competitors from across the country and around the world to what promises to be an unforgettable week of competition, celebration, and camaraderie.”
