Jan Edwards, President/CEO, Paving the Way Foundation
Jan Edwards is the founder and President of Paving the Way Foundation, an organization that is a fierce disruption in the cycle of child trafficking around the globe. This accomplished through educational and training programs that empower communities to break the cycle. Paving the Way has educated over 13,000 youth and adults the past 3 years. Ms. Edwards has been featured on NBC, multiple podcasts and iHeart Radio as an influencer on prevention education and has been awarded Orlando Magazines Women of the Year 2019 and on the Rise Community Impact Leader 2019 and American Haitian Art Network 2020 Community Advocate for her organizations work.
Jan is the writer, co-director and producer of the award-winning film, "Trapped in the Trade", which was featured on CNN.
Abdullah Tharoo, CEO/Founder, PayKoncept
Abdullah Tharoo earned his Business Administration degree at Louisiana Tech University, followed by a specialty certification in Gemology at Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Santa Monica, CA. He moved to Orlando in 1996 and made Orlando his home. In 2014 he founded PayKoncept Merchant Solutions and PayKoncept Merchant ATM. PayKoncept specializes in merchant payment processing, cash advance, POS system, and designing payment solutions for sectors, including and not limited to retail, hospitality, e-commerce, lodging, and not for profits. In 2020 he founded Koncepts, Inc. DBA Tuesday, a startup technology company specializing in Mobile application for not- for profit vertical to help good people do good.
