Sanford De Mayo ~ Alive After 5

Sanford de Mayo is the May edition of Central Florida’s longest-running monthly street festival, Alive After 5, and will take place Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. While the VIP experience is a ticketed event, general admission to this street festival is free and includes access to a variety of vendors along Downtown Sanford’s 1st Street. Guests can purchase Mexican treats from food vendors, as well as meet local artists showcasing their handmade items in Artisan Alley. There will be special performances, classes, and demos by Salsa Rhythm, free to the public. Families will also love the KidsZone, which features a bounce house.

Taco lovers and margarita fans will be thrilled to hear of a huge change to Alive After 5’s annual Sanford de Mayo street festival! In addition to the bevy of live music and local vendors lining Downtown Sanford’s 1st Street, guests can say “hola” to the event’s first-ever VIP experience, designed and executed by a team of Sanford business owners and community leaders. VIP guests will enjoy an exclusive event space, complete with endless tacos and margaritas crafted by local farm-to-table favorite, The Smiling Bison.
