Description
The Professional Women's Luncheon has set the standard for showcasing successful women in an environment that is inspiring and exciting. At each lunch, a high profile woman shares her life story, giving attendees a look into the struggles and accomplishments of women throughout Central Florida. Likewise, the luncheon is attended by successful business women who participate in special activities designed to facilitate introductions.
SPEAKER:
Dr. Lavon Bracy has been at the forefront of civil rights in Central Florida for decades.
Dr. Bracy is a native of Boynton Beach, Florida and the daughter of the late Reverend Thomas A Wright Sr and Affie Mae Wright.
She was the first African American to graduate from Alachua County Schools Gainesville High School, Florida in 1965.
Today, she is an advocate for social justice. She has conducted extensive voter education, registration and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) in Central Florida; singlehandedly registering more than 1200 voters and was featured in the CNN Special: WHO COUNTS, 2012. See YouTube documentary clips below.

LaVon is Co-Founder of New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando located on Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando, Florida. She has been a champion for Education and has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to support college students. She retired in 2012. She currently works with Faith in Florida as Director of Democracy.
She has authored three books; Making Them Whole in 1990 and Beyond Bravery in 2012 and A Brave Little Cookie in 2019. She is the wife of Rev. Randolph Bracy and the proud mother of Florida Senator Randolph Bracy and LaVon Bracy-Davis.

- Had a cough, congestion or runny nose
- Have been exposed to someone who tested positive in the past two weeks.
By following these simple regulations, we know we will be able to have great meetings and networking and keep Seminole County safe!
