Description
SPEAKER:
Secily Wilson,
Award Winning Broadcaster | Speaker | Philanthropist
There’s little veteran broadcast journalist, Secily Wilson hasn’t survived. Two strokes didn’t stop her. Divorce didn’t derail hair. She lost her job and found her passion. She is woman who overcomes through sheer willpower, and she continues to thrive! Secily leads powerfully using her voice to inspire and influence the world! That's why we call her Fierce, Fearless and Fabulous!
She's often asked, “How did you go from broadcast news to the nonprofit sector?” Her answer is simple. "The transition wasn’t a choice. Sometimes you are pushed into your purpose. After experiencing a series of unexpected life adversities, my life quickly fell apart. One of my favorite quotes is, “In order to find yourself, you must lose yourself in the service of others.” The philanthropic bug bit me. My gifts gave me the opportunity to merge my profession with my passion; “Service above self.” Secily says.
Secily is the founder of WOW Legacy Group, a growing Central Florida non profit with a mission to empower, educate, encourage and inspire women facing life adversity. Her philanthropic work is done through the organization's Fall into Fabulous empowerment program. She's also a Telly Award winning broadcast journalist, media communications professional, Mrs. Florida International 1999. Secily says her greatest role is being Mommy to her daughter's Chrissy and Nicole. She's even more proud of her newest title-Gina to her granddaughter Amari Elizabeth. An active member of the greater Orlando community, Secily volunteers with a variety of organizations throughout the region, including passionate interests for stroke awareness and curbing domestic violence.
The Professional Women's Luncheon has set the standard for showcasing successful women in an environment that is inspiring and exciting. At each lunch, a high profile woman shares her life story, giving attendees a look into the struggles and accomplishments of women throughout Central Florida. Likewise, the luncheon is attended by successful business women who participate in special activities designed to facilitate introductions.

As we reopen Seminole County, our top priority is the safety of all our members and guests. After all, you can't provide jobs and grow our economy while you are sick.
We're confident that with your help, we can keep our community working and allow us to provide the networking and relationship-building events you have loved for years.
For now, our event guidelines will be:
- All host venues will be adhering to current guidelines regarding setup and cleaning schedules
- All Council meetings are now RSVP mandatory so we can comply with venue capacities and a socially-distanced setup
- Masks, fist bumps and elbow rubs are encouraged, handshakes and hugs are discouraged
- Hand sanitizer will be available at check-in
- Temperatures may be scanned at check-in. If anyone has a temperature over 100 degrees, they will not be admitted.
Plus, we trust that you will stay home if you (or someone in your household) has
- Had a fever in last 24 hours
- Had a cough, congestion or runny nose
- Have been exposed to someone who tested positive in the past two weeks.
By following these simple regulations, we know we will be able to have great meetings and networking and open Seminole County safely!
