Longwood Council Lunch & Learn
Jasmine Jones serves as the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Program Manager for the AdventHealth Research Institute. It allows her to combine her passion for working in the community with the promotion of equity in healthcare and raising awareness about research. In her previous role, she was able to support PhD scientists who focused their research on the role of social determinants on overall health outcomes, which served as an integral pathway to where she is now. Jasmine joined the AdventHealth family as an intern in 2010 working with Volunteer Services, Business Development, and Community Relations. She also has served as a Strategic Account Manager with the Health Performance Strategies team, where she worked on a project focusing on the health transformation of a university campus for students, faculty, and staff.
Prior to attending graduate school, Jones worked as a congregation-based community organizer in a neighboring county, working with community members and local officials to increase accountability and implement action plans to resolve critical community needs. This background has underscored Jasmine’s ongoing drive to make a difference in her community and empower those residing in underserved areas. Her role at AdventHealth allows Jasmine to extend the reach of health resources into the community, while enhancing and contributing to their positive transformation.
Jasmine earned an undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
Join the Longwood Council for a monthly Lunch & Learn meeting on the 3rd Monday of every month. This is another Seminole County Chamber benefit for you to network and connect with area businesses.
