Description
Come Fly Away with Orlando Sanford International Airport
Featuring new President & CEO Tom Nolan and a tribute to Diane Crews by former Congressman John Mica
About Tom Nolan:

Tom Nolan, A.A.E. is a native of Milwaukee Wisconsin where he graduated from Marquette University earning a B.S. Degree in Business Administration.
He is a licensed private pilot and an accredited airport executive with the American Association of Airport Executives. Tom has served in airport management over thirty years now spanning eight different airports throughout the U.S. coming to us from Palm Springs International Airport in California, after 13 years as the CEO. Tom attributes witnessing and immediately responding to a fatal crash of an airliner, within just two months of his first airport job, as a key factor in developing his leadership approach in managing airports.
Tom is married to his high school sweetheart and they are empty nesters with five children and five grandchildren and still expanding. They have family in Florida and love the people and weather. But Tom quick to admit they cannot give up their loyalty to the Wisconsin Green Bay Packer NFL football team.
About Diane Crews
Born and raised in Sanford, Florida, Ms. Crews attended Seminole State College where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree, and graduated from the University of Central Florida with both her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Public Administration. She received her American Association of Airport Executives AAE Certification in 2013.
Following eleven years of service at the City of Sanford, she accepted the Vice President of Administration position at the Orlando Sanford International Airport in 2001, and ultimately the Vice President of Finance & Administration. In this position, Ms. Crews served as Property Manager (managing 110+ airport-owned rental properties), Director of Human Resources, Executive Director of Foreign Trade Zone No. 250, and the Airport Public Information Officer; and was in charge of Public Relations, Marketing and Economic Development, as well as the Finance and Administration Departments.
In August 2015 the Sanford Airport Authority Board of Directors selected Ms. Crews as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Orlando Sanford International Airport. Ms. Crews was the first female to serve in this role, a position she held for five years, retiring in September 2020.
In addition to her multiple responsibilities at the Airport, she has served on numerous community boards and committees, including the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, Central Florida Zoo, Seminole County Tourism Development Council, Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Boy Scouts of America Central Florida Council. Over the years, Ms. Crews received various awards and recognitions, and most recently received the Florida Department of Transportation’s Distinguished Aviation Service Award.
Upon her retirement, the Sanford Airport Authority Board of Directors, in partnership with the Foundation for Seminole State College, created the Orlando Sanford International Airport Endowed Scholarship to honor and continue the legacy of her efforts and help non-traditional students attend Seminole State College.
She is looking forward to travel and spending more time with Rob, her husband of 46 years, their two daughters, sons-in-law, and two grandchildren, Olivia (8 years) and Jake (2 years).

As we reopen Seminole County, our top priority is the safety of all our members and guests. After all, you can't provide jobs and grow our economy while you are sick.
We're confident that with your help, we can keep our community working and allow us to provide the networking and relationship-building events you have loved for years.
For now, our event guidelines will be:
- All host venues will be adhering to current guidelines regarding setup and cleaning schedules
- All Council meetings are now RSVP mandatory so we can comply with venue capacities and a socially-distanced setup
- Masks, fist bumps and elbow rubs are encouraged, handshakes and hugs are discouraged
- Hand sanitizer will be available at check-in
- Temperatures may be scanned at check-in. If anyone has a temperature over 100 degrees, they will not be admitted.
Plus, we trust that you will stay home if you (or someone in your household) has
- Had a fever in last 24 hours
- Had a cough, congestion or runny nose
- Have been exposed to someone who tested positive in the past two weeks.
By following these simple regulations, we know we will be able to have great meetings and networking and open Seminole County safely!
